Gainesville is the urban center of the Northeast Georgia Mountain region. With easy access to both I-85 and I-985 this mountain foothill community has grown to a commercial hub while maintaining its charm and small town character.

During your visit you'll have the opportunity to enjoy the newly renovated meeting space at our Georgia Mountains Center. This state of the art meeting facility hosts many conventions, conferences and trade shows. The main theater will be our home during most of the Winter Chautauqua events.

Don't miss out on the wonderful boutiques and cafes found near the Georgia Mountains Center on our beautiful Main Street Square. An award winning downtown development program, Gainesville's Main Street is a must see.

While in Gainesville, be sure to take in some of the sites like Poultry Park, Historic Green Street, the campus of Brenau University and the Northeast Georgia History Center.
